Hi Jean,
I had something similar to this. It was on the soft skin on the inside of my arms and a small patch on my forehead near the brow. This was a few years ago but mine was Discoid Eczema (rather than Lupus rash) - I was also given antihistemine cream and it disappeared withing a couple of weeks. Hope it's something as simple as that Jean. (I have also used the green colour corrective moisturiser that Jenni mentioned - Boots No7 used to do their own - has to be under foundation though.) Is your chest any better Jean? (Oooh that sounds odd but you know what I mean:)

Hi Jean,
Sounds a lot like psoriasis to me. My other half has it and he doesn't experience any itching either.
He uses an excellent product - Vaseline Intensive Rescue Relief and Repair Balm that js available from most supermarkets. It quickly clears up the dry patches and he wholheartedly recommends it.
I would still mention it to the rheummy at your next appointment.

Thanks everyone, for all this great advice. Just been to docs and I have eczma so have some betnovate to see what happens. Bless, he wasn't too sure about discoid eczema, but is checking with my rheummy! I don't think he had head of it before!
The chest infection is still going pretty strong and I sound like a dog again - barking very well, especially in the mornings! BUT I don't feel too bad so that's a blessing. Thanks for asking Julie.
The sun is shining and the sky is blue, so what more could I ask for?
Lots of love Jeanxxx

Oh Jean ... sounds like you're feeling full of the joys of Spring! I agree, it's lovely to have a little bit of sunshine and the sneaky promise of some warmer weather. Glad you got a diagnosis on that rash ... hope the cream works soon. As for that chest infection ... hope you've got something for it so that you can stop trying to out do all the neighbourhood hounds in the barking contest! x x Joanna

I've got some antibiotics, Joanna. Trouble is I have so many of these flippin chest infections I get a bit wary of taking them. Apparently they will "go away" (according to GP) when we have some warm weather! Take care Love Jxx

Hi Jean,
I have not used this cream personally, but my Ma and nephew who has psoriasis and RA swears uses an aloe vera based cream and swears by it.
Are you taking antibiotics for the chest infection? I seem to be over mine and it went quite quickly without having to take them; I think that drinking a lot of Manuka Honey with lemon helped a lot.
Hope you feel better soon,
love,

Hello Jean, sorry you're not well and I hope that things pick up soon, a bit more of todays weather might help. Will you make sure that you wear a chest warmer under your bikini and make sure that the face cream is off your hands before you do the pole dancing. Love Glenys.x

I've been casting around for a fur lined liberty bodice, Glenys, for under the bikini but am very surprised to find that no-one seems to make them anymore! If I come round - can I borrow yours please?! Much love Jeanxxxxx

If Glenys needs hers then you can borrow mine, but I am wearing it today as it is so nippy in my kitchen!
Love,
Amanda

Skin rashes!!! I never suffered from them in the past, but I find these days I get very dry patches popping up in many places. At the moment I have a large red very dry and flaky patch on my left lower leg unto my ankle. I have been slapping E45 on for a while, now I am trying an itch cream but not with much result.
Jean, I am interested in, what you say about the Hydroxy, that it could be the culprit. Like you I am new to that drug, Have been on it for about 8 months, and definitely my skin has got worse during that period. I do hope, the Betnovate cream will help you and that your cough soon settles.

Oh Merete, my problems are nothing compared to all you are suffering at the moment. I will be asking my rheummy about the flaky skin when I am next there and I'll let you know what he says.
Still praying that all goes as well as it can for you in Finland.
Do take care
Much love Jeanxxxxx

Sorry you're still suffering with your cough, Jean, I told you weeks ago to wear your liberty bodice when pole dancing. And while you're about it, get your long johns on!
